Det Norske Veritas Certifies 1st Manufacturer on Gulf Coast USA

DNV Certified Diving Bells and related equipment for Saturation Diving are now being manufactured on the US Gulf Coast. DNV presented Arc Controls, Inc. of Mobile, Alabama with Certificate No. T-1355 For the Manufacture of Class I & II Pressure Vessels in October of 2009.
Arc Controls has completed their first DNV Certified project and is now building a 3-man Bell for Saturation Diving to a depth of 1000 ft. Arc Controls, in business since 1975, has been manufacturing ASME ‘U’ Stamped Pressure Vessels since 1992 and repairing, refitting and manufacturing Saturation Diving Chambers, Deck Chambers and Rescue Chambers to ASME PVHO and ABS Classed since 1998 as well as LARS Systems, Trunks, Med Locks, Equipment
Locks, Fast Acting Mating Clamps. Emergency Umbilical Cutting Guillotines and related equipment.
Arc Controls is the first manufacturer on the US Gulf Coast to receive this approval and certification from DNV.

Connecting trunk

A connecting trunk for a diving system. This photo shows off the fresh white paint job and our ASME nameplate attached to the side. It has a reducing flange on one end and an “Arc Controls Quick Clamp” on the other.
